Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Your initial consultation will last up to an hour at a fee of £30 where we will asses your needs and look at how we could best support you.

If, after the initial consultation you choose to begin counselling, individual sessions are 50 minutes at a cost of £50 (this fee remains low compared to other local services as we wish to provide affordable, quality therapy to adults and young people).

We are able to offer some flexibility if your individual circumstances mean finances will be a barrier to accessing counselling.

Our service adheres to the BACP’s Ethical Framework, to ensure that we are providing best practice.

What happens during the initial consultation?

This is a time for you to explore what brings you to counselling and for your counsellor to explain how they work and an opportunity to ask any questions.

What can I expect from the counselling process?

Counselling is your space alongside your therapist to help make sense of the difficulties you may be experiencing. It provides room to explore how you are feeling, challenge thinking and understand behaviours. Offering a better understanding of yourself and others.

How do we work?

We are able to offer face to face and online counselling using Zoom.
